Great event again but by the time I finished only wooden medals were being given out. I paid for and expected a metal one like everyone else.

Thank you all - this was a first for me.
Found the event really friendly and enjoyed not only the run but the support given by all of the spectators / locals, especially when running up that hill (or should you rename it Kate Bush Corner).
Hope to repeat in '27

Simply the best 10K I’ve ever run!
The route is beautiful, but what really sets this race apart is how well organised it is and how the whole village seems to turn out to support it!
There are hundreds of supporters, loads of friendly marshals, water stations, choirs, bands, entertainment…this race really does have it all!

Just as good as the one I ran in 2003 - but I was a shade faster. Not bad for a septuagenarian!

Great atmosphere, lovely route, really friendly and helpful volunteers, great support - highly recommended!

The team always work so hard to put this event on and every year it just gets better and better. The atmosphere was amazing, the organisation excellent and aside from not being able to flatten those hills on the route!!!, the whole team did an amazing job. It felt like everyone in the community was out supporting the runners which made such a difference and it's always great to see so many local groups - of all ages- getting involved. Bring it on for 2027!!

It was very crowded at the finish line and would benefit from more of a cordoned off area as you finish the race as members of the public were mixed with runners finishing. Those handing out medals seemed a bit unsure of who to be handing them too. A finisher area may help avoid crowding and allow you to catch your breath. Not experienced this previously but perhaps as the event has become more popular.

Outstanding organisation, as a runner everything including sign up, pre-race day emails including parking information, route and water stations was excellent, bib collection was super efficient, access to an appropriate number of portoloo’s was appreciated, PA announcements were clear and audible and warm up was fab. Fantastic community event with an amazing atmosphere and lovely route. Enjoyed being soaked by kids with water pistols along the route, but noticed they were excellent at sparing those runners not wishing to get wet. Thank you for running such a fantastic event!
