There needs to be more water stations after the 5km and or some sweets to give racers energy.
Coming back is very hilly, please consider changing the route slightly so on way back is easier. Thanks

Superb! Would definitely do it again. Have not run it previously as it’s very close to my birthday and so generally clashes with other plans. But I would definitely aim to work around that in future years. Emails in advance, friendliness and community spirit on the day … the Scouts, band, food, all fabulous.

The Binfield 10k is a highly organised and fun event for all levels of runner and walker! Safety is paramount, with large numbers of marshalls around the course who provide support and sweeties, front and rear support cars! :)

There is an uphill finish (km 8) which is challenging but overall best 10k I've ever done.

Great organisation, Marshalls and atmosphere- huge thanks to everyone involved!

The choir and scout band were such good ideas. And the participation from the community was fantastic.

Thought the medal was much better than last year. Something worth keeping.

One small gripe related to the danger caused by a group of cyclists allowed onto the course. They approached from behind travelling at speed and spread across the road so it was difficult to avoid them. They gave no warning they were passing.

I watched as they approached the group in front and caused similar disruption amongst the runners. Had they not been dressed in cycling gear I would have assumed that they were a bunch of kids who thought it funny to unsettle the runners. I can't believe they were allowed on the course by the marshals, and must have got on the course at an unmarshalled point.

I would like to thank Ali who was so helpful and kind when I asked about disabled parking spaces.

Communication to runners pre-event was good, better than many other events.
Signing on was easy and the Foxley Field arrangements worked really well. The penned start was tidy. PA and commentary was one of the best.
In the run it was sometimes not clear whether runners needed to be on the road or pavement. E.g. coming off Stubbs Hill where I had to ask the marshal. I still don't know whether Benefield Road was closed at the end of the event.
There were other points where marshals were hard to see or did not signal clearly. I think there were too few marshals at Terrace Road North/South roundabout. It was not clear to me to go straight on. I found the entry to Benefield Road confusing because I was not following anyone and the marshall did not signal for the right turn.
These are quite minor issues for another excellent event from Binfield Parish Council. Thanks to all who helped.
